The moisture content of paper

Created on 12.04
The moisture content of paper directly affects the quality of printed matter. If the moisture content is too high, the strength of the paper will decrease. Under the action of external force, the paper fibers will be pulled out, increasing plastic deformation and affecting the drying speed of the print. If the moisture content is too low, the paper will become brittle, prone to damage and generating static electricity, etc. Since the moisture content of paper is highly correlated with the surrounding environment, the humidity and temperature in the printing room should be properly arranged to maintain the balance of the moisture content of the paper.
