After being introduced to China in the 1990s, this paper was initially mostly used for portable publications such as pocket books. When it was localized in 2003, short fibers were used to reduce production costs, but this was accompanied by process problems such as overprinting and powder dropping. With its cost advantage and environmental protection features, it has gradually penetrated into the field of hardcover books, but its tendency to deteriorate easily forms a structural contradiction with the collection demand. In terms of application scenarios, Europe, America and Japan focus on the printing of lightweight books, while domestic publishers mostly choose them based on cost considerations. Although imported products have stable manufacturing processes and the books are light and easy to spread out, they have usage defects such as residual wood pulp odor and ink seepage during pen writing.
