Lightweight paper, also known as lightweight offset paper, is a type of paper with low cost. It is light in weight, low in unit price, and has a high mechanical pulp content. Because it turns yellow very easily, the original color formed can protect the eyes of readers, especially the elderly and children, protecting their eyesight from harm when reading. Due to its extreme thinness and lightness, it is convenient for readers to carry and read. The texture of lightweight paper is poor, with a loose texture and high transparency. Its printing adaptability and the ability to restore the original after printing are extremely poor. It is light but thick. Books printed on it are about one quarter to one third lighter in weight and more than double in volume compared to those printed on ordinary paper.
