Introduction to Tactile paper

Created on 01.07
Tactile paper is a special type of paper with a velvety touch. Its processing technology is complex but the printing effect is better. It is often used in high-end packaging fields. This paper has a matte surface color, a smooth and heavy feel, rich colors and no dot marks. The common weight is 120 to 350 grams. It is suitable for hot stamping, UV and other processes, but not for four-color printing. Its weather resistance is characterized by scratch resistance, folding resistance, color change resistance and solvent resistance, meeting the EU environmental protection standards and free of heavy metals.

The production of tactile paper involves processes such as base paper papermaking, color layer coating, embossing treatment, and surface layer coating. The surface layer coating uses a mixed formula of tactile resin and matte resin. The surface flatness is enhanced through UV varnish solidification technology and film transfer method. Semi-finished products can be sold in rolls to optimize production efficiency. It is mainly applied to the packaging of gift boxes, jewelry boxes, cosmetic boxes, etc., and can also be used as the surface layer material for notebooks and picture albums. Tactile film is one of its alternatives, but there are differences between the two in terms of the fineness of the touch and the convenience of cleaning
