Introduction to Two-side Offset Paper

Created on 04.02
Double-sided coated paper, also known as offset paper, is a type of non-coated printing paper that has been treated with glue on both sides during the papermaking process to improve its surface properties. It features low shrinkage, high smoothness, strong water resistance, and a tight, opaque texture. It is widely used in offset printing for books, periodicals, picture albums, etc.

This kind of paper is mainly made of bleached wood pulp, with low elasticity, uniform ink absorption, and is less likely to shed fibers or powder during printing, ensuring clear text and stable images. It is the mainstream category of cultural paper. The vast majority of offset printing papers on the market are coated on both sides, so "double-sided coated paper" has become the common abbreviation in the industry. In the past, it was also called "Dowling paper".
